A drunk English fan has gone viral after waking up in the worst possible spot during this year’s EURO 2024 competition.
The European Championships are back in 2024 as the likes of Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and more are lighting up stadiums across Germany.
Supporters from all over Europe have flocked to cheer for their nations in the continent’s most prestigious international football tournament, but with antisocial fan behaviour at the top of the agenda, the tournament organiser implemented new measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
One of these measures included restrictions on alcohol consumption for the first England game against Serbia. Fans were only able to purchase booze with a reduced alcoholic volume to reduce the risk of alcohol-induced disruptions, but fans were undeterred and found ways to celebrate England’s nervy 1-0 victory… with one fan taking the party to a whole other level.

In the clip, shared by @awaydaylads5 on TikTok, the bemused fan says: “I’ve just woken up. It’s four o’clock in the morning. I’m shivering in Schalke’s ground,” before panning the phone camera to reveal a completely empty 62,000 capacity stadium.
With many wondering how someone can fall asleep at their seat, they probably weren’t watching the below-average performance from the Three Lions.
