Builders and Owners
Built by the well-known German shipyard Lürssen, the 378-foot Ahpo was delivered in 2021 and quickly became a symbol of luxury and cutting-edge naval architecture. The Italian firm Nuvolari Lenard skillfully created the yacht’s exterior and interior design, presenting a perfect blend of style and functionality.
The yacht was first owned by the Canadian-Jamaican billionaire Michael Lee-Chin who sold the luxurious superyacht last year for USD 362 million, breaking previous records in the yacht brokerage business. The yacht was bought by Patrick Dovigi, the founder and CEO of Green For Life Environmental (GFL), a Canadian waste management company. Dovigi was responsible for renaming the yacht to Lady Jorgia.
Being a former NHL goalie, Dovigi, 43, started his waste management business from the ground up and grew it into a multi-billion dollar enterprise. The billionaire company operates across Canada and the United States, with around 20,000 employees. Dovigi’s purchase of Lady Jorgia reflects his business success and also his belief in working as a team and facing challenges head-on. He once stated:
