Oscar Piastri has been trying his hand, or rather feet, at one of England’s biggest pastimes ahead of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix… and if his latest penalty attempt is anything to go by, it’s no wonder the Socceroos fail to draw crowds in Australia.
It’s the British Grand Prix weekend and that means thrilling action at Silverstone, where the world’s best drivers battle it out on one of the most iconic tracks of the Formula 1 calendar.
Of course, this season’s race coincides with one of the biggest football tournaments in the world, and with England progressing through to the quarter-finals of this year’s European Championship, the F1 drivers were getting into the collective spirit with a game of penalty shootouts… and let’s just say it’s a good job Piastri is quick behind the wheel.
Lining up to take his shot in front of the early attendees to this year’s British Grand Prix, the young Australian star failed to drown out the pressure and jeers from the crowd, striking low through the ball to sky his shot over the bar.
